During her artist residency at the Rencontre Arles, Iris Brosch presented a captivating photo installation showcasing her unique perspective on feminist art. The installation, centered around pictures taken in 2022 in the Chapelle de la Charité in Arles, features a striking composition of many photos suspended from strings. However, what sets this installation apart is Iris's bold and thought-provoking approach.

With a powerful feminist stance, Iris Brosch proceeded to paint on the photographs with bright red colour symbolising period blood. This focus on menstruation is challenging societal taboos and embracing the natural beauty of the female body. Through this artistic intervention, Iris invites viewers to confront the stigmatization of menstruation and engage in a critical dialogue about female empowerment and autonomy.

The installation further explores the theme of naked bodies in churches, aligning with a feminist perspective that questions traditional representations of women and their roles in religious spaces.
